Job summary

Branchspace is seeking an experienced Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer in Krakow, Poland to own cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and platform reliability. You will collaborate with software engineers, architects and leadership to set technical standards, improve developer experience, and shape platform architecture.

You will design and maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform, manage EKS, drive CI/CD using GitHub Actions, and implement observability with Grafana/Prometheus/Loki.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevSecOps.
• Proven experience designing and operating production workloads on AWS.

We are looking for an experienced Senior / Lead DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team in Krakow, Poland.

In this role, you will take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and platform reliability. You will work closely with software engineers, architects, and engineering leadership to drive technical standards, improve developer experience, and help shape the future architecture of our platform.

What the
role involves

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Own and evolve our Kubernetes platform (EKS), ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
• Drive CI/CD best practices and support engineering teams in building efficient delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Define and improve platform architecture, deployment strategies, and operational standards
• Implement and maintain observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and related tooling
• Improve system reliability, resilience, disaster recovery, backup, and rollback processes
• Collaborate with development teams on performance tuning, troubleshooting, and operational excellence
• Promote security best practices across infrastructure, applications, and delivery pipelines
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, automation opportunities, and AI-powered engineering tools where they bring value
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of DevOps capabilities across the organisation
• Extensive hands‑on experience as a DevOps, Platform, SRE, or DevSecOps Engineer
• Proven experience designing and operating production workloads on AWS
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Experience with GitOps approaches and tools
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio
• Experience with Helm
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms, ideally Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki
• Good understanding of networking, cloud security, identity and access management, and application security principles
• Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to operate independently and make architectural and operational decisions

Nice to have

• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Node.js, or similar languages
• Familiarity with application stacks based on Java, PHP, and/or Node.js
• Experience with DevSecOps tooling and secure software delivery practices
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development and operational tooling

We typically expect candidates at this level to have around 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevSecOps roles. However, we are primarily interested in demonstrated expertise, ownership, and technical impact rather than a specific number of years.
