Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to shape the data ecosystem across AWS and GCP, building scalable data lakes and warehouses and enabling cost-efficient solutions for the business. You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analysts to deliver reliable infrastructure, implement CI/CD, and uphold governance.

Fluent English and Polish are required, and residency in Poland is expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in data engineering or data platform engineering.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), IAM, security, and cost control.
• Proficiency in Python and modern data tooling (Airflow, dbt).
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery, data lakes, and data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Data Platform infrastructure across AWS and GCP, including data lakes, data warehouses, orchestration, and observability components
• Enhance the platform with new features, better monitoring, and automated tasks
• Develop and maintain CI/CD-driven deployment processes for reliability and scalability
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to support MLOps platform
• Manage data estate, IAM, storage, monitoring, and cost control
• Design secure, compliant, and user-friendly data infrastructure solutions
• Improve performance, reliability, security, and operational efficiency across cloud environments
• Work with stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities meeting needs
• Contribute to engineering practices: code reviews, CI/CD, IaC, data governance
