Job summary

Sii in Poland is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate a cloud-based data platform across AWS and GCP.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analysts to deliver scalable data solutions, implement CI/CD, and enforce security and governance in a fintech setting.

The role requires strong Python, SQL, BigQuery, and Terraform skills and ensures high reliability for the evolving data platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Platform Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Data Platform infrastructure across AWS and GCP, including data lakes, data warehouses, orchestration, and observability components
• Enhance the platform by introducing new features and services, improving monitoring and observability, and automating common operational tasks
• Develop and maintain CI/CD-driven deployment processes to improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer experience
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to support and evolve the MLOps Platform
• Manage and optimize the data estate, including IAM and access policies, storage management, platform monitoring, and cost control
• Design and implement secure, compliant, and user-friendly data infrastructure solutions
• Continuously improve platform performance, reliability, security, and operational efficiency across cloud environments
• Work with stakeholders across and beyond the data organization to understand requirements and deliver platform capabilities that meet their needs
• Contribute to and uphold strong engineering practices, including code reviews, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and established data governance standards
