Job summary

Sii is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and push the migration and modernization of data and analytics workflows. You will work with Google BigQuery, Dataform and Python, building scalable pipelines and collaborating with analytics and data engineering teams to turn business needs into robust solutions.

Based in Poland, you will occasionally work from the client's office in Warsaw, about once a month.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of professional experience in mass data processing.
Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in BigQuery.
Knowledge of Dataform on GCP or a strong willingness to learn and develop in Dataform usage.
Knowledge of Python for data analytics and engineering purposes.
Analytical mindset with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Very good command of English and Polish, and residency in Poland.

Responsibilities

Migrating data and analytics processes from Oracle, Python, and SAS to Google BigQuery using Dataform and dbt.
Designing, developing, and maintaining data processing pipelines and analytical solutions with BigQuery, Dataform, SQL, and Python.
Contributing to the reshaping and modernization of the Analytics Data Platform in Google Cloud Platform.
Participating in the evaluation and co-creation of work standards and quality assurance best practices within the department.
Proactively proposing new ideas and optimizations for data processes and analytical solutions.
Collaborating closely with analytics, data engineering, and business teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
