Job summary

Sii Polska is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Warsaw, with on-site presence at the client’s office and monthly visits. You will migrate and modernize data and analytics processes, working with analytics and data engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in data processing, strong SQL with BigQuery, and experience or willingness to learn Dataform on GCP, plus Python for analytics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in data processing.
• Proficiency in SQL with hands-on BigQuery experience.
• Knowledge of Dataform on GCP or willingness to learn Dataform.
• Knowledge of Python for data analytics and engineering purposes.
• Analytical mindset with proactive attitude and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Very good command of English and Polish, and residency in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Migrating data and analytics processes from Oracle, Python, and SAS to Google BigQuery using Dataform and dbt.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining data processing pipelines and analytical solutions with BigQuery, Dataform, SQL, and Python.
• Contributing to the reshaping and modernization of the Analytics Data Platform on Google Cloud Platform.
• Participating in evaluation and co-creation of work standards and quality assurance best practices within the department.
• Proactively proposing new ideas and optimizations for data processes and analytical solutions.
• Collaborating with analytics, data engineering, and business teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
