Job summary

Morris Habitat for Humanity seeks an energetic Construction Supervisor to lead job site operations, train volunteers, and serve as the on-site ambassador for our mission in Randolph, New Jersey.

This full-time, hourly role reports to the Project Manager, oversees daily productivity and safety, builds community relationships, and includes hands-on carpentry and travel to active build sites. Candidates should have residential framing or carpentry experience and a valid NJ driver's license.

Qualifications

• Residential framing, roofing, carpentry, or general contracting experience.
• Working knowledge of building blueprints and structural standards.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license and auto liability insurance for regional travel.
• Reliable transportation to travel to scattered construction locations.
• HFH ambassador capable of handling questions from volunteers and public officials.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and allocate resources daily to maximize workflow and meet milestones.
• Educate and guide volunteer crews and family partners in safe home-building techniques.
• Lead safety briefings and enforce OSHA guidelines on site.
• Represent GMM Habitat in the community and with sponsors.
• Document volunteer hours, labor exchanges, and material tracking.
• Perform hands-on construction work when supervision allows.
