Job summary

Morris Habitat for Humanity (d/b/a Greater Middlesex & Morris Habitat) is seeking a full-time Driver to pick up donations from residences and businesses in the Greater Morris County area, assisting customers and donors with loading and unloading merchandise.

This role reports to the Donations Manager and is based out of Morris Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in Randolph, New Jersey. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, coordinating with warehouse staff, and training truck helpers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience driving a 17' box truck (automatic transmission), especially in residential neighborhoods.
• Experience working in a retail store environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive to and from locations in the Greater Morris County area to assist with transportation of merchandise.
• Ensure all merchandise is unloaded at the end of the day and placed on the sales floor. All parts and pieces need to be marked/identified.
• Communicate and work alongside the Warehouse Manager to ensure merchandise is placed in the appropriate spot and that needed repairs are reported.
• Communicate with Scheduling Coordinator concerning pick-ups, truck maintenance issues, problems on the route, and delays.
• Train truck helpers.
• Assist in ReStore during downtime, cleaning and organizing retail floor, warehouse, loading dock and new merchandise.
