Job summary

ALTEN Polska is seeking a senior cloud engineer to join our Kraków team. You will lead cloud infrastructure initiatives across AWS and Azure, leverage Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes, and shape data platform architectures in enterprise settings.

The role involves building robust CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps automation, and ensuring security and compliance across complex environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cloud engineering experience at principal level.
• Strong hands-on AWS and Azure expertise.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD tooling.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation.
• Build and evolve data platforms (data lake/lakehouse).
• Design and implement event-driven and serverless solutions (e.g., Lambda, SQS, EventBridge).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps automation.
• Build and evolve modern data platforms (data lake / lakehouse architectures).
• Design and implement event-driven and serverless solutions (e.g., AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge).
• Ensure cloud security best practices, including IAM, RBAC, encryption, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, engineering standards, and best practices.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud engineering (Principal-level expertise).
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and solid knowledge of Azure.
• Proven experience with:
• Terraform and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps),
• Docker and Kubernetes (EKS / AKS),
• Data platforms and technologies such as Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake, Apache Spark, Databricks, and Azure Synapse,
• Event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, monitoring, and operational best practices.
• AWS and/or Azure certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS/Azure DevOps Engineer).
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of observability, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
