Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Competency Center. You will design and build scalable data platforms, develop ETL/ELT pipelines and collaborate with analytics, BI and Data Science teams.

Responsibilities include data modeling, optimizing pipelines, and documenting solutions. Fluent English and Polish are required, and at least four years in data processing projects in a cloud environment are expected.

• 4+ years in data processing projects
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark
• Designing Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
• ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration
• Azure cloud data projects (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric)
• Knowledge of distributed data processing
• Fluent English communication
• Polish language fluency required
• Located in Poland

Your tasks

• Designing, building, and developing scalable and high-performance data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in projects related to processing and integrating large volumes of data
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Experience working with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark / PySpark
• Practical experience in designing and building Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
• Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and work with data orchestration and integration tools
• Commercial experience in Microsoft Azure cloud-based data processing projects (e.g., Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric)
• Knowledge of data processing concepts in distributed environments and pipeline optimization
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Fluent Polish language proficiency required
• Must be located in Poland

Nice to have

• Experience in data migration projects from on-premise to cloud (databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
