Job summary

Infinity Quest in Warsaw, Poland, is seeking a senior MicroStrategy specialist to strengthen our enterprise BI team. You will lead development and administration of MicroStrategy environments, drive VLDB optimization, and ensure secure, scalable configurations across multiple stakeholder groups.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, data, and security teams, deliver robust reporting solutions, and contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer for long-term platform stability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on MicroStrategy development and platform administration.
• Strong knowledge of MicroStrategy project configuration, VLDB settings, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of MicroStrategy security models, roles, user/group access, and ACL design.
• Experience in large, enterprise BI environments with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing MicroStrategy report development and regular delivery activities within the BI team.
• Review and optimize MicroStrategy project configurations for performance and scalability.

Mandatory skill required

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience with MicroStrategy (MSTR) development and platform administration.
• Strong experience with MicroStrategy project configuration, including VLDB settings and performance tuning concepts.
• Solid understanding of MicroStrategy security models, roles, user/group access, and ACL design.
• Experience working in large, enterprise‑scale BI environments with multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, document, and propose improvements to existing BI platforms.

Desirable Skill

• Experience supporting platform migration, modernization, or optimization initiatives.
• Exposure to cost optimization, platform downscaling, or performance efficiency programs.
• Familiarity with data platform landscapes and modern BI technologies (e.g., Power BI, Fabric).
• Experience working in regulated industries (banking, financial services, or similar).

Key tasks/responsibilities

Reporting & Delivery Support

• Support ongoing MicroStrategy report development and regular delivery activities within the MSTR SEA team, ensuring business continuity and predictable BI output.
• Take ownership of assigned reporting workstreams, adhering to established delivery, testing, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, BI users, and delivery teams to ensure reporting solutions meet functional and performance expectations.

Platform Review & Optimization Support

• Review existing MicroStrategy project configurations, including Very Large Database (VLDB) settings, identifying performance, scalability, and stability improvement opportunities.
• Propose and implement configuration updates where appropriate, aligned with platform optimization and risk mitigation goals.
• Support analysis and documentation of the current MicroStrategy platform setup, contributing input for architectural adjustments and future‑state design.

Security & Access Management

• Review existing MicroStrategy security roles, permissions, and access models; recommend and implement revisions where required.
• Analyze and simplify Access Control Lists (ACLs), ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate security changes and ensure appropriate authorization without compromising usability or performance.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Test re‑configured MicroStrategy environments following configuration, security, or performance changes.
• Support and coordinate with other testers during testing phases, ensuring adequate test coverage and issue resolution.
• Assist in validating performance, security, and functional stability post‑changes and before production release.

Infrastructure & Cross‑Team Collaboration

• Work closely with and coordinate activities with the Infrastructure team, ensuring alignment on environment changes, deployments, and platform dependencies.
• Manage communication across BI, data, infrastructure, and security teams to support synchronized delivery and minimize operational risks.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Produce and maintain final technical documentation, including configuration changes, security models, testing outcomes, and operational guidelines.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation to support long‑term platform maintainability and reduce dependency on key individuals.
• Enable smoother internal resource transition toward Power BI Fabric and Copilot initiatives by stabilizing and documenting the MicroStrategy landscape.
