The Process Platform & Automation (PPA) cluster brings together Commerzbank’s core process automation capabilities to drive process efficiency as a key strategic pillar.

We deliver automated solutions and shared platforms, tools, and approaches (e.g. Lego) that enable efficient delivery for our own area and other units. This is based on close collaboration with the business units and the DO – working as one committed team to achieve successful outcomes.

We are seeking a Business Expert to join the Process Platform and Automation cluster to support our teams and the strategic initiatives within the Bank.

The ideal candidate combines strong business process understanding with curiosity for intelligent automation, agentic AI and Large Language Models, and can translate business needs into sustainable, value-driven solutions.

As a Business Expert, you will analyze end-to-end business processes, assess automation opportunities, shape AI-supported prototypes and align implementation activities with business objectives. In addition, you will support Scrum Master activities to help the team work effectively in an agile environment.

Your main tasks are:

Analyze end-to-end business processes and identify optimization and automation opportunities in line with best practices.
Assess business use cases with regard to feasibility, economic advantage, customer value and alignment with strategic objectives.
Translate business requirements into clear concepts, user stories, acceptance criteria and implementation-ready specifications.
Develop and validate AI-supported and agentic workflow prototypes together with business and technology stakeholders.
Support the selection and evaluation of suitable automation platforms and software providers such as n8n, Camunda or cloud-based services.
Support Scrum Master activities, including preparation and facilitation of Scrum ceremonies, impediment tracking, sprint transparency and continuous improvement initiatives.
