Job summary

PwC Polska, a dynamic Human Resources and Payroll Operations team, seeks a Belgian Payroll Specialist to deliver accurate payroll services for Belgian operations within a hybrid Poland-based setup. You will ensure compliance, oversee payments, and support year-end activities while coordinating with local authorities and third‑party providers.

You will work with colleagues across regions, applying new technologies and AI-driven tools to streamline processes, drive accuracy, and improve service

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Belgian payroll operations.
• Fluent English (C1) communication.
• French or Dutch fluent (B2) communication.
• Ability to understand both detailed aspects and the broader context of processes.
• Sense of ownership of assigned tasks.
• Strong proficiency in using new technologies and AI‑based tools in daily work.
• Analytical skills, attention to details, energetic and proactive approach to achieving goals, team working skills, good work organization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality payroll services, ensuring compliance with procedures, legal regulations, and customer requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including transaction validation.
• Handle salary payments in the banking system, monitor their status, and manage any rejections.
• Perform statutory and compliance activities, such as employee registration and tax filings, or oversee their execution by third‑party providers.
• Collaborate with senior employees to respond to queries or requests from local authorities.
• Report payroll activities accurately and on time, escalating any risks to payroll processing or deadlines as needed.
• Support year‑end processes and other country‑specific payroll activities outside of regular monthly payroll runs.
• Update procedures when required.
