Job summary

Allegro Finance seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Pryzmat squad, a dedicated team of backend engineers building critical money-out and compliance systems powering Poland's leading e-commerce payments platform.

You will mentor a 6-person squad, drive architecture decisions across Kotlin/Spring Boot microservices, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high-throughput, fault-tolerant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading backend-focused teams in high-availability, transactional environments.
• Strong depth in JVM architectures (Kotlin/Java) and architectural trade-offs.
• Familiar with asynchronous messaging and distributed systems.
• Product-minded with focus on system integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a squad of backend engineers (6), fostering ownership and growth.
• Oversee core payouts engine, banking connectivity, and reconciliation systems.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Finance to ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
• Guide architectural decisions across JVM stack and data pipelines.
