Allegro.eu S.A. in Toruń is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) to design and optimize high-scale backend systems supporting checkout and purchase paths. You will own microservices end-to-end, work in a cloud-native GCP environment, and collaborate with product managers to drive numerous initiatives.

You will join a high-autonomy team with opportunities to mentor others, work on LLM-driven tools, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience building and maintaining complex, high-scalability systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin with reactive programming.
• Advanced MongoDB knowledge.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers and analyzing business requirements.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and own services end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Massive Scale: Design, build, and optimize systems handling thousands of requests per second.
• Master advanced technologies: Java, Kotlin, Spring, MongoDB, microservices, and Airflow (Big Data).
• Own your services: design to deployment with full ownership.
• Engage with PMs to analyze requirements and drive initiatives.
• Drive innovation with Large Language Models (LLM).
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge.
