Allegro in Warszawa seeks an Engineering Manager to lead our Delivery Experience Backend Team. You will guide a 4-person backend and QA squad through a strategic migration from .NET to JVM/Kotlin on GCP, while ensuring uninterrupted service and strong collaboration with business stakeholders.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture improvements, and shape APIs to support carriers and new business requests in a fast-paced e-commerce logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Strong backend expertise in .NET or Java and leadership experience.
• Experience planning and executing complex system migrations or architectural overhauls.
• Ability to translate business needs into implementable technical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute strategic migration of microservices from .NET to JVM/Kotlin/GCP without disrupting operations.
• Mentor and support a backend engineering team through a major technology stack transition.
• Maintain existing integration APIs and develop new features for carriers and business requests.
• Translate business needs into technical tasks and communicate with stakeholders.
• Lead technical discussions and negotiations with partners.
• Participate in on-call duties and provide hands-on guidance as needed.
