Job summary

Solid is hiring an experienced Platform Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure Azure platform capabilities at scale. You will build infrastructure with Terraform, manage Azure networking, and enforce governance with security controls.

You will drive CI/CD and GitOps, develop automation and observability solutions, and mentor engineers while applying Generative AI to improve development and operations. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cloud networking, and platform engineering.
• Experience applying the Azure Well-Architected Framework (Security, Reliability, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, Performance Efficiency).
• Hands-on Terraform including module design and state management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure networking and security: connectivity, segmentation, hybrid infrastructure, identity, governance, and security controls.
• Experience designing and managing infrastructure CI/CD and GitOps processes, with strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell.
• Deep experience with Azure observability: monitoring, logging, application insights, and alerting.
• Experience building developer-facing platforms, templates, onboarding flows, or similar developer experience improvements.
• Practical experience applying Generative AI tools to development, diagnostics, automation, or infrastructure tasks.
• Strong ownership and customer-oriented mindset, excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work in ambiguous environments, solve complex problems, and mentor others.
• Experience working in Agile teams, including shaping epics and stories in Jira

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and operating secure and scalable Azure platform capabilities

• Leading Azure networking, including connectivity, routing, segmentation, and hybrid infrastructure
• Implementing security policies, governance, and platform guardrails
• Applying the Azure Well-Architected Framework to drive platform design and continuous improvement
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD and GitOps processes for infrastructure
• Developing automation and observability solutions using Azure-native tools and scripting
• Building developer-facing platform capabilities, reusable templates, and self-service solutions
• Applying Generative AI to infrastructure development, diagnostics, automation, and operational troubleshooting
• Collaborating with technical teams, mentoring engineers, and supporting the adoption of platform engineering practices
