Job summary

Xebia is hiring an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable Azure platforms across large-scale environments. You will build infrastructure with Terraform, manage Azure networking, and embed security guardrails, while adopting GitOps and CI/CD practices.

You will also apply Generative AI to infrastructure tasks, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams in a dynamic EU-based setting. Fluency in English and strong Azure experience are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cloud networking, and platform engineering.
• Demonstrable Azure delivery at scale.
• Experience applying the Azure Well-Architected Framework across Security, Reliability, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, and Performance Efficiency.
• Deep hands-on experience with Terraform, including module design and state management.
• Knowledge of ARM/Bicep is a plus.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python or PowerShell.
• Deep experience with Azure observability, including monitoring, logging, application insights, and alerting.
• Experience building developer-facing platforms, templates, onboarding flows, or similar developer experience improvements.
• Practical experience applying Generative AI tools to development, diagnostics, automation, or infrastructure tasks.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and operating secure and scalable Azure platform capabilities.
• Building and managing infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Leading Azure networking, including connectivity, routing, segmentation, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Implementing security policies, governance, and platform guardrails.
• Applying the Azure Well-Architected Framework to drive platform design and continuous improvement.
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD and GitOps processes for infrastructure.
• Developing automation and observability solutions using Azure-native tools and scripting.
• Building developer-facing platform capabilities, reusable templates, and self-service solutions.
• Applying Generative AI to infrastructure development, diagnostics, automation, and operational troubleshooting.
• Collaborating with technical teams and mentoring engineers.
