HSBC Holdings plc in Kraków invites an experienced AVP KYC Operations Manager to lead the KYC Operations team within GPB KYC Operations. You will drive performance, collaborate across departments, and oversee transformation initiatives to strengthen regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, process optimization, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder discussions. A focus on continuous development and risk-aware decision making is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Lead KYC Operations within the designated area ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and strategy.
• Strengthen team capability across supported markets and coach leaders in complex discussions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Ops Transformation and other teams to simplify processes and deliver efficiency gains.
• Translate business requirements into clear team objectives and ensure consistent execution across areas.
• Provide monthly updates on performance, capacity, volumes, risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Support KYC Operations teams through coaching, cross-training and development initiatives.
• Assess operational, financial and customer impact of decisions and plan capacity and contingencies.
• Drive production management, first-step resolution, waste reduction and adherence to control standards.

Your career opportunity

The main mission of KYC Operations Department is to extend measures to fight money laundering, financial crime, tax evasion and terrorism financing. The role of AVP KYC Operations Manager is to provide robust support to GPB KYC Operations in Production and Performance Management area, driving and overseeing a wide variety of highly prioritized strategic projects and Continuous Improvement Initiatives. The role will also include collaboration with other departments (OT, Transformation, Branding, L&D, MCM etc.) and communication within the department.

What you'll do

• Lead KYC Operations within the designated area, ensuring delivery aligns with business expectations, operational strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Strengthen team capability across supported markets, enabling effective communication and confident leadership of complex discussions with Business Stakeholders and Relationship Managers.
• Partner with the business and functional teams, including Ops Transformation, to simplify processes, implement enabling tools and deliver measurable efficiency gains.
• Translate business requirements into clear team objectives, ensuring effective communication, consistent execution and alignment across operational areas.
• Maintain transparent oversight of operational performance, capacity, volumes, risks and opportunities, providing timely monthly updates to business stakeholders.
• Provide visible leadership, coaching and support to KYC Operations teams, promoting accountability, knowledge sharing, cross-training and continuous professional development.
• Assess the operational, financial and customer impact of business decisions, including volume changes, promotions and other business-driven actions, and ensure appropriate capacity and contingency planning.
• Drive operational effectiveness and control through production management, accurate and timely first-step resolution, waste reduction, risk identification, issue escalation, mandatory training completion and adherence to control standards.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• The above responsibilities would demonstrate the need for a high-calibre individual, preferably with in-depth knowledge of the due diligence policies, processes and systems across KYC Operations.
• The applicant should have demonstrated capabilities in project management, and policy implementation across large teams.
• The candidate is expected to have strong communication skills, Analytical skills and project execution skills.

What we offer

The pay range for this role is XXX PLN - XXX PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
