HSBC Service Delivery Polska in Krakow is seeking a Payments & Securities Screening Team Coordinator to oversee end-to-end screening across Payments, Securities, Name Screening and Negative News. The role requires hands-on alert investigations and strong collaboration with Compliance and Risk.

You will coordinate day-to-day delivery, manage escalations and KPIs, and report on performance and trends, partnering with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in sanctions screening or financial crime operations.
• Knowledge of transaction screening, name screening and NNS screening processes.
• Regulatory knowledge including OFAC, EU and UN sanctions and FATF guidelines.

HSBC Service Delivery Polska in Krakow supports key global operations in a highly regulated environment where accuracy and timeliness matter. As a Payments & Securities Screening Team Coordinator you’ll oversee end-to-end screening activity across Payments, Securities, Name Screening and Negative News Screening while also completing hands‑on alert investigations. You’ll coordinate day-to-day delivery, manage escalations, track operational KPIs and provide clear reporting on performance, quality and trends. The role acts as a bridge between analysts and management and partners closely with Compliance, Risk, IT and business stakeholders to maintain strong controls and improve how work is delivered.

What you’ll do

• Oversee daily screening activity across Payments, Securities, Name Screening and Negative News Screening to meet agreed SLAs
• Process alerts generated by screening tools and assess whether matches are false positives or potential or true matches in line with global sanctions policy
• Review alerts using customer databases such as World-Check and reliable internet sources to support well‑evidenced decisions
• Document investigation outcomes clearly to provide a complete audit trail and evidence of review
• Monitor operational KPIs and prepare regular reporting on performance, quality and trends
• Coordinate workload allocation and support onboarding and knowledge‑sharing for new joiners and back‑ups
• Act as a point of contact for internal escalations and business partner interactions including offshore Financial Crime Compliance Operations
• Maintain and update internal procedures and manuals and support continuous improvements including system enhancements and UAT

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Bring proven experience in sanctions screening or financial crime operations
• Apply in‑depth knowledge of transaction screening, name screening and NNS screening processes
• Use financial crime regulatory knowledge such as OFAC, EU and UN sanctions and FATF guidelines in day‑to‑day case decisions
• Use screening and monitoring systems effectively and work confidently with MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
• Produce accurate reports and communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally
• Demonstrate experience coordinating day‑to‑day work across a team and supporting supervisors or managers with operational oversight
• Manage competing priorities and workload peaks while maintaining high quality and strong attention to detail
• Partner effectively with stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, IT and business teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement

The pay range for this role is 7,267 PLN - 8,800 PLN (monthly, gross). Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
