Job summary

Takeda in Łódź, Poland is seeking an Invoice to Pay Accountant to manage the accounts payable lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate payments and strong vendor relationships. The role works with Procurement, Finance, and internal stakeholders and uses automation, AI, and RPA tools to support end-to-end AP processes.

You will implement controls, assist with SOX compliance, monitor deadlines, respond to queries, and identify improvements in AP processes.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Experience as Invoice to Pay Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and accounting principles.
• Fluent English required; Polish language skills are an asset.
• Experience in a BPO or Shared Services environment is an advantage.
• Professional accounting certifications or courses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Posting of purchase invoices in accordance with accounting standards.
• Handle exceptions and manually process invoices when automation cannot be applied.
• Monitoring payment deadlines and controlling the execution of payments.
• Replying to internal and external queries within agreed SLAs.
• Performing internal controls and ensuring SOX compliance.
• Follow existing process documentation and work instructions; use knowledge base and report gaps.
• Effective communication with clients and colleagues.
• Cooperate with internal teams to ensure smooth AP operations.
• Identify and report recurring issues or improvement opportunities in AP processes.
