Job summary

StartApp, inc. in Warsaw seeks a hands-on AI QA Technical Lead to drive the QA organization’s evolution through AI. You will identify opportunities in the QA lifecycle and translate them into scalable AI-powered capabilities that help the team work faster, smarter and with higher quality.

Design and build AI-powered QA tools, agents and workflows used across the testing lifecycle. This role emphasizes practical execution, experimentation, and close collaboration with QA engineers and engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation or Software Engineering.
• Hands-on with Playwright or Cypress.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Experience building AI-powered QA tools and workflows.
• Knowledge of agentic workflows, prompts, tool calling and API integrations.
• Ability to turn experiments into maintainable engineering products.
• Strong QA fundamentals: test design, regression, exploratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve AI-powered QA tools, agents, and workflows.
• Turn repetitive QA tasks into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Create integrations between AI capabilities and testing, engineering, and internal systems.
• Define standards for prompts, context, tools, and agent workflows.
• Build mechanisms to evaluate AI output and detect regressions.
• Monitor reliability, performance, and cost of AI-powered solutions.
• Act as the technical focal point for AI within QA and promote adoption.
• Collaborate with QA engineers and development teams to tackle real-world challenges.
