Job summary

Emporix is seeking a visionary QA Lead in Poland to elevate quality through AI-driven automation and strategic leadership. You will move beyond manual testing, defining the QA vision, architecture, and execution plan to accelerate delivery cycles while maintaining high standards.

You can work from the Gliwice office or remotely within Poland, with monthly office visits. You’ll mentor a small QA team, align QA initiatives with engineering goals, and partner with DevOps to ensure fast feedback

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test automation and quality engineering covering SPA web experiences and REST APIs.
• Leadership experience with mentoring a small QA team.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Vision and execution plan for leveraging AI to automate testing and data synthesis.
• Strong JS/TS proficiency and hands-on with modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Webdriver.io).
• Experience integrating automated test suites into Git-based CI/CD pipelines to prevent regressions.
• Experience collaborating in Scrum workflows and writing acceptance criteria using BDD/Cucumber formats.
• Ambitious, high-trust problem solver with strong technical standards and ownership.
• Excellent Polish and English communication (minimum B2).

Responsibilities

• Lead, empower, and mentor a QA engineering team in a high-trust, safe environment.
• Define and execute a bold QA vision leveraging AI to automate test generation, data creation, and maintenance.
• Architect, build, and scale automated test suites for React web apps and REST APIs with JS/TS and Playwright/Cypress/Webdriver.io.
• Integrate AI-enhanced regression suites into Git-based CI/CD pipelines as reliable quality gates.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Dev Leads to define clear acceptance criteria using BDD (Given-When-Then).
• Provide transparent automated test reporting and root-cause analysis in Jira for rapid resolution.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and maintain high test stability across workflows.
