Job summary

Start.io is seeking a hands-on AI QA Technical Lead to drive the technical evolution of our QA organization through AI. You will design and build AI-powered tools, agents, workflows and integrations used by QA engineers across the testing lifecycle—from design to data generation, debugging and failure investigation.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on building, experimentation and innovation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation or Software Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered QA tools and workflows.
• Strong fundamentals in test design, regression and exploratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve AI-powered QA tools, agents and workflows.
• Turn repetitive QA tasks into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Create integrations between AI capabilities and QA/engineering systems.
• Set technical standards for prompts, context, tools and agent workflows.
• Evaluate AI output, monitor quality and detect regressions.
• Drive adoption and knowledge sharing within the QA team.
