Job summary

Planet is scaling AI-first engineering and seeks Senior AI Developer Experience Engineers to drive adoption across Engineering. You will deliver AI fluency sessions, pair with developers, and help embed practical AI workflows across teams.

You will collaborate with Architecture and Platform teams, create practical guides, and measure adoption with Planet’s maturity model. This role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to influence engineering productivity globally.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production systems experience.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach teams.
• Credibility with engineers; comfortable pairing with developers.
• Experience creating technical content (guides, tutorials, docs).
• Interest in developer experience and engineering productivity.
• Nice to have: experience in developer enablement coaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI fluency sessions across Engineering and SDLC roles.
• Build relationships; help teams adopt AI workflows.
• Pair with developers to improve adoption using AI tools.
• Maintain internal enablement tooling and templates.
• Create enablement content and learning material.
• Measure AI maturity and adoption signals.
• Coach delivery teams on using internal tools in live projects.
• Collaborate with Architecture and Platform teams.
• Capture feedback for AI Centre of Excellence.
• Expand enablement to broader dev experience.
