Job summary

Docplanner is seeking an Engineering Director to lead AI-enabled engineering across Marketplace, Patient Engagement and Payments. You will guide a sizeable team of engineers, shape the architecture, and drive AI-powered product development across 13 markets, ensuring privacy, security and quality.

You will personally code with AI tools, mentor leaders, and partner with Product, Design and Data to deliver measurable impact for patients and providers. Remote/hybrid with Warsaw hub.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-team engineering organisations through managers.
• Daily, practical fluency with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.).
• A product mindset that ties engineering strategy to customer outcomes and business results.
• Technical depth across architecture, delivery, reliability and security.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction: own the engineering strategy and roadmap across three areas.
• Build product builders: create a strong engineering team with clear ownership.
• Turn AI into a product: collaborate with Product and Design from discovery to delivery.
• Continue rewiring how engineering works: set standards for AI output checks and quality.
• Own the architecture: guide design and engineering standards across the portfolio.
• Remove friction at its source: prioritize, measure, and fix root causes.
• Shape company-wide tech: align with peers on shared platforms and tech decisions across Docplanner.
