Job summary

Docplanner is seeking an Engineering Director to unite Marketplace, Patient Engagement and Payments. You’ll lead around 75 engineers, shaping AI-powered discovery, booking, engagement and payments across 13 markets.

Own the engineering strategy and build product-minded teams that deliver reliable, secure solutions. You’ll mentor leaders, set quality standards and partner with Product, Design and Data at the executive level.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-team engineering organisations through managers.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development and clear judgment of its strengths, limits and risks.
• A product-minded engineering approach focused on customer outcomes and business results.
• Technical depth in architecture, delivery, reliability and security.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction: own the engineering strategy and roadmap across three areas.
• Build product builders: create a strong engineering team with clear ownership.
• Turn AI into a product: collaborate with Product and Design from discovery to delivery.
• Refine how engineering works: set standards for AI usage, quality, security and privacy.
• Own the architecture: guide design standards across the portfolio.
• Shape company-wide tech: align with peers and help make technology decisions.
