Job summary

Metsä Group Group Services in Gdańsk is seeking a Junior Accounts Receivable Accountant with English to join the team on a temporary 2-year contract. You will handle bank statements, oversee local and collect accounts, and ensure timely postings to GL and customer accounts.

The role requires clear English communication, basic accounting knowledge, and openness to utilize SAP. Hybrid work is available after onboarding, with a fully on-site start.

Qualifications

• Communicative English at least B2 level.
• Basic accounting knowledge from certificates, studies or courses is preferred.
• SAP knowledge will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all bank statements and incoming payments from local and collect banks are accurately processed and payments allocated within agreed deadlines.
• Responsible for using multiple banking solutions / online banks and related local accounts.
• Posting of bank statements from local accounts to GL (non-product related payments).
• Posting of bank statements from collect accounts to customer accounts.
• Identifying and communicating payment discrepancies.
• Identifying errors in In-House Cash payments.
• Ensuring that all internal customer queries are dealt efficiently, effectively and to the satisfaction of an external customer and the relevant business unit.
• Providing accurate information to AR and AP on a timely and accurate basis.
• Undertaking all other work as requested.
• Processing automatic and manual payments.

• Fixed-term employment contract for 2 years
