Job summary

Metsä Group in Gdańsk is seeking an Accounts Receivable Junior Accountant with English for a 2-year fixed-term position. You will process payments, post bank statements to GL, and ensure timely reconciliations while addressing internal and external inquiries.

We look for a detail-oriented, team player with strong communication, basic accounting knowledge, and SAP familiarity is a plus. Excellent English is required; the role offers development within Group Services and a hybrid-friendly,

Qualifications

• Communicative English (min. level B2) and strong communication skills are essential.
• Basic accounting knowledge (certificates, studies, courses will be an advantage).
• SAP knowledge will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all bank statements and incoming payments from local and collect banks are accurately processed and payments allocated within agreed deadlines.
• Responsible for using multiple banking solutions / online banks and related local accounts.
• Posting of bank statements from local accounts to GL (non-product related payments).
• Posting of bank statements from collect accounts to customer accounts.
• Identifying and communicating payment discrepancies.
• Identifying errors in In-House Cash payments.
• Ensuring that all internal customer queries are dealt efficiently, effectively and to the satisfaction of an external customer and the relevant business unit.
• Providing accurate information to AR and AP on a timely and accurate basis.
• Undertaking all other work as requested.
• Processing automatic and manual payments.
