Job summary

Beiersdorf Group is seeking a Finance Accountant to manage financial accounting and closings for designated European Beiersdorf entities. You will partner with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

The role focuses on IFRS reporting, cost center accounting, and coordination with external providers and auditors. On-site work at the Poznań campus is required three days a week, with opportunities for professional growth within a global brand.

Qualifications

• Complete professional education in accounting or a Bachelor/Master degree with a finance focus.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Czech.
• 3+ years of experience in finance and accounting, ideally with closing activities.
• Very good knowledge of IFRS.
• Proficient in SAP 4HANA and MS Office.
• Independent, responsible, and customer-oriented work style.
• Willingness to travel for on-site visits and 3 days/week at Poznań campus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting and closings for European Beiersdorf entities.
• Act as Business Partner for Finance Manager on all accounting matters.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual statements per IFRS and local regs.
• Manage cost center accounting and statements of income per IFRS and guidelines.
• Lead external service providers and liaise with auditors.
• Monitor VAT transactions and respond to VAT queries.
• Drive standardization of accounting processes and systems.
• Participate in international projects.

Your Tasks

• Overall responsibility for the financial accounting and closings of designated European Beiersdorf companies


• First point of contact (\"Business Partner\") for the Finance Manager of the respective affiliate in all financial accounting matters. This requires very close cooperation with the local organization, combined with regular on-site visits


• Coordination and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements inaccordance with local regulations and IFRS


• Cost center accounting and preparation of statements of income (SOI) in accordance with IFRS and group-specific guidelines


• Self-reliant analysis and documentation of accounts and financial statements


• Steering of external service providers and main contact for financial and tax auditors


• Monitoring and reporting of VAT transactions and contact person for questions related to VAT


• Pro-active development and standardization of accounting processes / accounting systems


• Participation in international projects

Your Profile

• Successfully completed professional education in accounting or a Bachelor/Masterdegree with focus on finance and accounting


• Fluency in written and spoken English and Czech


• 3+ years experience in finance and accounting, preferably with closing activities /financial statements


• Very good knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS)


• Confident handling of SAP 4HANA and MS Office applications
