Habasit is seeking an Accounting Specialist to deliver high quality, accurate, and compliant accounting services within a global Shared Services Center. You will ensure standardized, efficient, and scalable financial processes across international entities.

You will support timely financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and participate in month-end and year-end closing while collaborating with stakeholders across the EMEA region and with internal and external auditors where needed.

Competenze

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting department.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Fluent in Polish and English (both verbal and written).
• Able to travel up to 10% of time.

• Accurately post and process purchase invoices in line with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Review and verify financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and tax compliance.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, as well as accounts payable and receivable balances.
• Process and settle employee expenses, including business trips and corporate card transactions.
• Prepare VAT records and support EU VAT reporting requirements.
• Prepare financial statements and statutory reports required by regulatory bodies.

The role of the Accounting Specialist is to deliver high quality, accurate, and compliant accounting services within a global Shared Services Center, ensuring standardized, efficient, and scalable financial processes across multiple international entities.

The role ensures timely and reliable financial reporting, strengthens internal controls, and supports continuous process improvement while partnering with stakeholders across the global organization.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Accurately post and process purchase invoices in line with accounting standards and internal policies


• Review and verify financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and tax compliance


• Reconcile general ledger accounts, as well as accounts payable and receivable balances


• Process and settle employee expenses, including business trips and corporate card transactions


• Prepare VAT records and support EU VAT reporting requirements


• Prepare financial statements and statutory reports required by regulatory bodies (e.g., statistical offices, Intrastat, central banks)


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across EMEA (finance, sales, procurement) to investigate and resolve discrepancies


• Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes and Group reporting


• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate data and explanations


• Contribute to the transition and standardization of accounting processes within the Shared Services Center (SSC)

Education and experience

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable field


• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting department
