Job summary

INSTANT IMPACT is representing a leading global Financial Services firm in Poland for an Accountant (External Finance). This role focuses on preparing accounting records and maintaining accurate financial information for a portfolio of international client entities, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory/reporting readiness.

You will review and reconcile data from multiple sources, post accounting entries, and assist with monthly/quarterly management accounts and statutory reporting.

Qualifications

• Accounting/finance degree or equivalent qualification.
• 2 years' accounting experience in professional services or financial services.
• Strong understanding of journals, debits/credits and general ledger.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accounting records and maintaining accurate financial information for international client entities.
• Reviewing, analysing and reconciling financial data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
• Posting accounting entries and supporting the preparation of trial balances and financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accounting records and maintaining accurate financial information for a portfolio of international client entities.
• Reviewing, analysing and reconciling financial data from a variety of sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Posting accounting entries and supporting the preparation of trial balances and financial reports.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts within agreed deadlines.
• Supporting the completion and submission of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
• Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and related documentation.
• Working closely with colleagues across different jurisdictions to ensure a high standard of client service.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance reporting efficiency.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics (or a related discipline) or be Part-Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA (or equivalent)
• Circa 2 years' accounting experience within a professional services firm, fund administrator or financial services business
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including journals, debits and credits and general ledger postings
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and SUMIFS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment
