Job summary

INSTANT IMPACT is representing a leading global financial services firm seeking an Accountant (External Finance) to manage accounting for a portfolio of international client entities in Poland. The role involves posting entries, preparing trials balances, and supporting monthly and quarterly management accounts within deadlines.

You will also assist with regulatory reporting and annual financial statements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Mathematics or Part-Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
• Circa 2 years' accounting experience in professional services, fund admin, or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accounting records for international client entities.
• Reviewing and reconciling financial data from various sources for accuracy.
• Posting entries and assisting with trial balances and financial reports.
• Helping prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accounting records and maintaining accurate financial information for a portfolio of international client entities.
• Reviewing, analysing and reconciling financial data from a variety of sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Posting accounting entries and supporting the preparation of trial balances and financial reports.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts within agreed deadlines.
• Supporting the completion and submission of regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
• Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and related documentation.
• Working closely with colleagues across different jurisdictions to ensure a high standard of client service.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance reporting efficiency.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics (or a related discipline) or be Part-Qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA (or equivalent)
• Circa 2 years' accounting experience within a professional services firm, fund administrator or financial services business
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including journals, debits and credits and general ledger postings
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and SUMIFS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment
