Job summary
A leading educational institution is seeking a Deputy Director IT to manage network services and system security. Responsibilities include maintaining network devices, addressing system problems, and overseeing projects. Candidates should hold an MS or BS degree with extensive relevant experience. Qualifications
- 10 years of relevant experience with MS degree.
- 12 years of relevant experience with BS degree.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor LANNVAN network services.
- Maintain an inventory of all network devices.
- Replace failed hardware and address system problems.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of computer systems.
Skills
Education
MS(CS)/MS(IT)/MS(SE) or equivalent (18 years of education) with 10 years of relevant experience
BS(CS)/BS(IT)/ BSE/BCE/MCS or equivalent (16 years of education) with 12 years of relevant experience
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Deputy Director IT is to ensure following:
- Manage and monitor LANNVAN network services.
- Maintain an inventory of all network devices.
- Replacement of failed hardware and addressing system problems.
- Project management, security, asset management, customer service or help desk departments to resolve problems and manage projects.
- Oversee development and maintenance of computer systems and setting of intranets.
- Identify departmental needs and make suggestions regarding technical direction.
- Design and implement system security and data assurance.
- Responsible for system hardware and software upgrades ensuring system wide availability and capacity needs are met in a timely fashion.
- Provides skilled technical support in liaison with vender technical personnel to install products.
