Job summary

Pakistan Tobacco Company in Akora Khattak, Pakistan seeks a Sustainability Officer to ensure EH&S compliance and drive fire safety operations. You will support reporting, training, and environmental testing in line with regulatory requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, knowledge of EH&S policies, risk management, and strong communication with stakeholders. You will work in an environment focused on safety, training, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Good knowledge of environmental and health & safety national laws and legal processes.
• Knowledge of EH&S policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and their application to the business.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for regular communication with internal and external collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Staying updated with the latest regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance.
• Assisting the EH&S Manager with the monthly reporting of Global Reporting Indicators.
• Planning and coordinating the smooth and efficient operation of fire stations as per procedures.
• Providing and facilitating firefighting training for employees and contractors.
• Ensuring all fire equipment, appliances, fire pumps, and fire tenders are maintained and readily available.
• Conducting guarding and interlocking assessments and spot checks across the site to ensure compliance.
• Supporting the EH&S Manager during EH&S reviews and audits at all levels.
• Facilitating environmental testing according to legal requirements, EHS-IMS, and established guidelines.
