Qualifications

• Practical exposure to maintenance planning, execution, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs across PET End of Line operations to ensure timely maintenance and maximum reliability.
• Drive maintenance methodologies, root cause analysis, and breakdown elimination initiatives.
• Ensure optimal utilization of maintenance resources to maximize equipment availability and production uptime.
• Take ownership of maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects for the PET Line.
• Identify, develop, and implement technical solutions to improve machine efficiency and reliability.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team at Sheikhupura Factory. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving end-to-end maintenance excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the Dairy, Juice, and PET operations, with a primary focus on the PET Line.

This role is responsible for ensuring effective maintenance management, maximizing asset reliability, minimizing unplanned downtime, and supporting plant performance through the execution of maintenance strategies, equipment optimization, and capital improvement projects. The position will work closely with Production, Engineering, R&D, and equipment suppliers to enhance operational efficiency and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs across PET End of Line operations to ensure timely, high-quality maintenance execution and maximum equipment reliability.
• Drive the implementation of maintenance methodologies, root cause analysis, and breakdown elimination initiatives to enhance asset performance and operational efficiency.
• Ensure optimal utilization of maintenance resources to maximize equipment availability, reliability, and production uptime.
• Take ownership of maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects for the PET Line, focusing on sustainable performance enhancements.
• Identify, develop, and implement technical solutions to improve machine efficiency, reliability, and overall operational effectiveness.
• Identify equipment upgrades, technical modifications, and capital investment projects to strengthen operational capability and future readiness.
• Contribute to annual maintenance budget planning, monitor expenditure against approved budgets, and ensure effective cost control.
• Analyze maintenance cost variances and implement corrective actions to optimize spending while maintaining high standards of equipment performance and reliability.

Capability Building & Technical Leadership

• Develop and execute Competence Building Plans (CBP) for maintenance teams.
• Organize and facilitate technical training programs for engineering and maintenance personnel.
• Promote the sharing of technical knowledge, best practices, and One-Point Lessons (OPLs).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a key liaison between Production and Engineering teams.
• Support Autonomous Maintenance (AM) initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Proactively contribute to the elimination of quality losses, safety risks, and chronic technical issues.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams focused on process and packaging optimization projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.
• 2-3 years of relevant maintenance experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, dairy, beverage, packaging, or consumer goods industries.
• Hands-on experience with filling, packaging, and preferably PET manufacturing operations.
• Practical exposure to maintenance planning, execution, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Technical & Leadership Capabilities

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supervising technicians, contractors, suppliers, and third-party service providers.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and breakdown analysis techniques.
• Ability to lead improvement projects and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
