Job description

Job Overview

As a Junior Production Engineer, you will be responsible to sustain safe shift operations (zero LT), productive utilization of resources (People and Machinery), while adhering to and monitoring the production plan.

Responsibilities

• Process – Post shift production and dispatches in SAP system, fulfill manpower requirements for smooth shift operations, achieve shift‑wise production targets for quality and quantity, control product losses, write shift production reports, mark worker attendance, review lab results and instruct operators, follow written and verbal instructions from the Divisional Head, ensure operators provide accurate log sheet information, write shift performance reports, and ensure sufficient materials and supplies are drawn from stores on time.
• Quality – Coordinate with the Shift Chemist to identify in‑process non‑conformances, keep different product grades separate, and maintain weighing scales in proper working order.
• Maintenance – Inspect process equipment performance, ensure proper maintenance, maintain housekeeping of the entire section, and liaise with the Shift Engineer of other divisions for shutdowns and operating the plant during load shedding.
• Process Improvement – Drive continuous improvement and innovation, develop improvement deliverables, apply logical and analytical problem‑solving approaches, study processes, and introduce technological advancements.
• Safety – Ensure safety of products, process equipment, and workers during shift, enforce use of PPE at all locations, ensure technical works are performed with proper work permits, and deliver trainings on EHS and production processes.
