Job summary

Zong 5G is seeking a Core Transmission engineer to lead configurations on PTN, OTN and DWDM and to provide advanced level support for the Core Transmission network.

You will coordinate with vendors and regional teams, perform health checks, and drive incident management with a focus on rapid resolution and preventive maintenance. A bachelor's degree in telecommunication/electrical fields and 3–4 years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Configurations on PTN, OTN and DWDM devices.

• Coordinate with vendor and regions for emergency handling and plan adherence.
• Identify outages quickly and provide real time extended technical support.
• Ensure premium support to corporate business in complaint handling.
• Follow up on vendor escalation matrix and keep ETTR updates.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Configurations on PTN, OTN and DWMD devices
• Provisioning of advanced level support to team for Core Transmission
• Coordinating and implement new Core Transmission network entity provided that all relevant checks are performed.
• Network Optimization based on analysis of key performance parameters
• Performing health checks and ensure that routines for corrective and preventive maintenance are timely and precisely done
• Coordinating with vendor & regions for emergency situation handling and to ensure that emergency plan is referred before engaging the vendor
• Ensure Quick identification of outages and issues faced by customers and provisioning of real time extended technical support to resolve the issues at first escalation
• Manage & ensure premium support to corporate business team in customer complaint and experience management
• Ensure strong follow up on vendor escalation matrix and internal second line teams through higher management to get the issue resolved and Share ETTR and keep the customer updated on problem resolution before completion of ETTR

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

• In principle to have a minimum bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Electronics or Electrical or other relevant degree.

Work Experience:

• Should have preferably 3-4 years of relevant experience.
