Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant to support a growing U.S. endocrinology practice with prior authorizations, prescription refill coordination, patient scheduling, and basic claims follow-up.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or similar role.
• Experience in a U.S.-based medical practice.
• Experience processing prior authorizations.
• Experience coordinating prescription refill requests.
• Experience scheduling patients and handling calls.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and telephone encounters.
• Strong written and verbal English communication, documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Gather information for prior authorizations and submit requests.
• Coordinate prescription refills and route for provider approval.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Review and respond to messages and telephone encounters in the EHR system.
• Support claims follow-up, basic appeals, and payer communications.
• Document communications clearly and escalate as needed.
