Job summary

Surge Laboratories is seeking a candidate for Local Business Development and Export Documentation/Coordination in Karachi. The role emphasizes handling local customers, inquiries, quotations, order processing, and coordination across departments to ensure timely execution of orders.

The ideal candidate has a commercial/operational background with 1–2 years experience in BD operations, export documentation, or sales coordination.

Qualifications

• Qualification: BBA/MBA or equivalent in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or related discipline.
• Experience: 1–2 years in Business Development Operations, Commercial Operations, Sales Coordination, Export Documentation, or similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Handle local customer inquiries, quotations, and order processing; follow up until order execution.
• Prepare and follow up quotations, pricing/rate approvals, sales orders and related commercial docs.
• Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain/MMD, QA/QC, FGS/Warehouse, Finance and other departments for timely local orders.
• Prepare sales reports, pending-order reports, recovery follow-ups and agent commission statements.
• Assist in local market analysis, competitor analysis, and identification of business opportunities.
• Coordinate export documentation including sample and commercial shipment docs, LC records, and courier/shipment docs.

Job description

The position is primarily focused on Local Business Development and Export Documentation/Coordination. Therefore, preference should be given to candidates having a commercial and operational background.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Qualification: BBA/MBA or equivalent qualification in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Preferably 1–2 years in Business Development Operations, Commercial Operations, Sales Coordination, Export Documentation, or a similar role.
• Preference for candidates from the Pharmaceutical/API industry or B2B manufacturing sector.
• Experience in handling local customers, including inquiries, quotations, order processing, commercial follow-ups, and coordination until order execution.
• Preparation and follow-up of quotations, pricing/rate approvals, sales orders, pending orders, and customer-related commercial documentation.
• Coordination with Production, Supply Chain/MMD, QA/QC, FGS/Warehouse, Finance, and other departments for timely execution of local customer orders.
• Preparation of sales reports, pending-order reports, recovery follow-ups, agent commission statements, and related commercial reports.
• Support in local market analysis, competitor analysis, pricing analysis, and identification of potential business opportunities.
• Handling and coordination of export documentation, including sample and commercial shipment documentation, LC-related records, NOC/Form-9 coordination, courier/shipment documentation, and liaison with the Export/Logistics team.
• Good command of MS Excel, PowerPoint, business correspondence, reporting, and documentation.
• Strong coordination, analytical, communication, and follow-up skills.
