Job summary
Source Code Academia is seeking an experienced Head of Department (HOD) for Mathematics to lead the Mathematics and Qiraat initiatives, overseeing curriculum development, teacher management, and student outcomes. The role requires strong leadership and academic management skills.
The HOD will drive quality assurance, monitor performance, and collaborate with the media team for course content. Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Mathematics (Master's preferred), 4+ years teaching, and 2+ years
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
- Master's preferred
- Minimum 4 years of teaching Mathematics
- Minimum 2 years in academic leadership or management
- Strong command of mathematical methodologies
Responsibilities
- Lead Mathematics Department and teaching staff
- Train, mentor, and evaluate Mathematics teachers
- Design and review curricula and course materials
- Ensure high standards of Mathematics instruction
- Conduct teacher observations and appraisals
- Develop lesson plans, assessments, progress tracking
- Monitor student performance and drive improvements
- Collaborate with media team for content development
- Prepare departmental reports and KPIs
- Drive continuous improvement within the department
