Job summary

The Citizen Foundation is seeking a Curriculum Lead to steer the design, development, and continuous improvement of the secondary mathematics curriculum in Karachi. The role emphasizes conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning across standards, resources, and assessment systems.

You will ensure coherence across grade levels, integrate language development, and promote inquiry-based, technology-enhanced learning to prepare students for higher education and STEM careers.

Qualifications

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of the secondary mathematics curriculum aligned with Federal Board requirements and organizational goals.
• Develop and review instructional resources, including student materials, teacher guides, lesson plans, assessments, and tech-enabled supports.
• Ensure curriculum coherence from primary through secondary grades for smooth progression in mathematics and STEM.
• Design curriculum interventions to strengthen mathematical language, academic literacy, and problem-solving in English-medium education.
• Integrate inquiry-based, real-world, and technology-enhanced learning to foster modelling, critical thinking, and independent learning.
• Develop assessment frameworks and exemplar items to measure understanding, fluency, reasoning, and application.
• Use data, classroom evidence, and evaluations to identify gaps and drive continuous curriculum quality improvements.
• Collaborate with functional teams to ensure effective implementation and classroom impact.
• Review national and international curricula, research, and assessment frameworks to benchmark and strengthen relevance.
• Support curriculum implementation through teacher orientation, resource development, and ongoing guidance.
