Job summary

Sui Southern Gas Company Limited is seeking a Law Graduate with 3 years of experience and Bar enrollment to join its Litigation team as Deputy Manager Litigation. This role focuses on managing litigation, coordinating with internal departments and external counsel, and drafting legal views.

You will represent the company in court when required and contribute to risk-aware, proactive legal work to protect SSGC’s interests across federal and provincial matters.

Qualifications

• Law graduate with 3 years relevant experience and 1 year Bar enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering amendments to laws, rules and regulations from federal, provincial and other statutory bodies.
• Coordinate with SSGC departments at the Head Office to collect necessary documents and follow up on lawsuits.
• Prepare an initial draft regarding the legal view on referred issues / cases / queries based on existing laws, rules, regulations and related research.
• Provide details of the case along with supporting documents to external counsel and share the company’s legal perspective to proceed with litigation.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of Vakalatnama for appointment of legal counsel.
• Assist in coordination with the legal counsel to initiate and follow up of lawsuits filed by the company or where it is a respondent.
• Coordinate with external counsel in developing and reviewing drafts, briefs, replies and supporting papers to safeguard SSGC’s interests.
• Represent SSGC at hearings when required and participate in the preparation and service of legal notices.
• Provide updates on ongoing cases to PAC during meetings and generate periodic reports on potential legal and litigation risks.
