Job summary

Systems Limited is looking for an L2 Operations Engineer to support Informatica PowerCenter and Cloudera data platforms in a production environment. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, ensuring stable ETL and data processing operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Cloudera ecosystem components, and strong SQL/Linux scripting skills. You will participate in on-call rotations and contribute to runbooks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in L2 production support / operations in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and ETL production support.
• Knowledge of Cloudera ecosystem: HDFS, Hive, Spark, Impala, Kafka, YARN.
• Strong SQL, Linux/Unix, and Shell Scripting skills.
• Experience in RCA, troubleshooting, production deployments, and recovery activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support Informatica PowerCenter workflows, sessions, repositories, and ETL batch processing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures, data load issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
• Monitor and maintain Cloudera components (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Impala, Kafka, YARN).
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Execute job reruns, recovery activities, and production deployments/releases.
• Monitor platform health, resource utilization, storage capacity, and service availability.
• Collaborate with L3 Support, Infrastructure, Database, and Application teams for issue resolution.
• Support user access requests, operational validations, and platform maintenance activities.
• Maintain operational runbooks, monitoring dashboards, shift handover reports, and technical documentation.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend support rotations as required.
• Drive continuous improvements in operational stability, automation, monitoring, and service reliability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support Informatica PowerCenter workflows, sessions, repositories, and ETL batch processing.

Requirements

• Experience in L2 production support / operations, preferably in banking or large enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and ETL production support.
• Good knowledge of Cloudera ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, Spark, Impala, Kafka, and YARN.
• Strong understanding of ETL workflows, batch processing, job monitoring, and data operations.
• Experience with incident, problem, and service request management within SLA-driven environments.
• Strong SQL, Linux/Unix, and Shell Scripting skills.
• Experience in RCA, troubleshooting, production deployments, and recovery activities.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in shift-based/on-call support environments.
