Job summary

qordata is seeking a Junior Support & Data Operations Engineer to provide L1 application support, monitor data jobs, and assist in keeping our product running for US customers.

You will collaborate with Product Leaders, Account Managers, Engineering, and Data teams to investigate issues, coordinate resolutions, and support operational processes and automation. US hours required.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related discipline.
• Basic SQL knowledge and ability to write simple queries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn application support, data operations and automation.
• Comfort with logs, reports, databases and operational tools.
• Proficient in MS Excel or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data-fetching, data-processing, and scheduled jobs for failures.
• Provide L1 troubleshooting for application and data issues.
• Collaborate with Product Leaders to handle requests, issues and operational needs.
• Create and maintain support tickets with accurate details and steps.
• Follow SOPs and support processes to resolve recurring issues.
• Escalate complex technical issues to Engineering or Data teams.
• Prepare daily/weekly operational and support reports.
• Maintain troubleshooting notes and knowledge-base articles.
• Work US hours during assigned US business hours.
• Support automation of repetitive processes.
• Coordinate with Engineering or Data teams when further support is required.

Provide L1 application support, monitor data operations, and help keep our product running smoothly for customers across the US.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Support & Data Operations Engineer to join our product support team. The role involves providing L1 application support, monitoring data-fetching jobs, troubleshooting issues, and supporting operational processes and automation.

You will work closely with Product Leaders, Account Managers, Engineering, and Data teams to support customer needs and ensure smooth product operations. Customer requests and support issues may be received directly or forwarded by Product Leaders and Account Managers, and you will be responsible for understanding the request, investigating the issue, coordinating with the relevant teams, and ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor data-fetching, data-processing, and scheduled jobs and identify failures or delays
• Perform L1 troubleshooting of application and data-related issues
• Work closely with Product Leaders to understand and action customer requests, issues, and operational needs
• Handle support requests received directly or forwarded by Product Leaders and Account Managers, ensuring timely response and follow-up
• Investigate customer-reported issues, perform initial analysis, and coordinate with Engineering or Data teams when further technical support is required
• Investigate basic data issues using SQL and internal tools
• Validate data and job outputs and elevate issues when required
• Create and maintain support tickets with accurate issue details and troubleshooting steps
• Follow defined SOPs and support processes to resolve recurring issues
• Escalate complex technical issues to Engineering or other appropriate teams
• Perform basic operational tasks and support automation of repetitive processes
• Prepare daily/weekly operational and support reports
• Maintain troubleshooting notes, knowledge-base articles, and operational documentation
• Follow up on unresolved issues and ensure timely closure
• Work collaboratively with team members and provide support wherever needed
• Work US hours and provide support during the assigned US business hours
