Job summary

Jobtailor in Islamabad is seeking an IT Maintenance and Support Coordinator to lead and guide information technology maintenance and support activities. The role focuses on system and hardware maintenance, monitoring, reporting, and IT solution recommendations while coordinating a team of IT staff and assisting in the implementation of new applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IT maintenance, with proficiency in English and Urdu, and IT certifications such as

Qualifications

• Pakistan nationals only.
• Completion of secondary school education.
• 6 years of progressively responsible work in the relative business stream.
• Experience in administration work with the UN or other international organizations.
• Experience analysing service management results and developing service enhancement recommendations.
• Experience participating in country office procurement/budgeting process.
• Fluency in oral and written English and Urdu.
• IT certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, and ITIL are desirable.
• Applicants who previously submitted applications are not required to apply again.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide Information Technology maintenance and support activities.
• Carry out system and hardware maintenance, including specialised network monitoring and system protection.
• Monitor technology reliability, identify user needs, analyse data, and produce reports recommending IT solutions.
• Resolve standard IT queries independently and escalate when required.
• Provide technical training to end users and guidance and training to junior colleagues.
• Support implementation of new applications.
• Draft end-user and technical documentation.
• Implement improvements to IT methods and processes.
• Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Coordinate a team of IT staff.
• Follow emergency response processes to support emergency food assistance needs.
