GenZ Talent is seeking an IT Engineer Systems & Network in Lahore, Pakistan to maintain and optimize our IT infrastructure. The role covers servers, workstations, networking gear, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and security.

You will monitor performance, apply patches, and support end users. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in IT or CS and practical experience with Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Engineer with hands-on experience in systems administration and network management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and file servers.
• Implement and maintain IT security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery operations, and software updates/patching.
• Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Document IT infrastructure, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for system upgrades, procurement, and IT projects.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a System/Network Engineer, IT Support Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills to support users and coordinate with internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or MCSA.
• Experience in IT project management and implementing ITIL best practices.
