Job summary

Sundaram Finance Limited is seeking a senior specialist in process excellence to champion data-driven improvements across business processes. You will standardise SOPs, target turnaround times, and partner with departments to remove waste using value stream mapping.

Lead DMAIC/DMADV projects and drive CAPA for sustained First Time Right performance. The role requires 15+ years in quality or process excellence, with a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred, and solid experience

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in quality management, process improvement or operations excellence.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred.
• Experience in financial services (NBFC, banking, insurance) or related sectors is essential.
• Proven track record leading large-scale process transformation programmes with measurable ROI.

Responsibilities

• Champion the identification and quantification of gaps and inefficiencies across business processes and drive data-backed improvements.
• Lead standardisation of processes by developing and implementing SOPs across all departments; ensure version control and periodic SOP review cycles.
• Drive initiatives to improve turnaround time (TAT) without compromising quality; establish TAT benchmarks aligned to industry standards.
• Partner with departments to streamline workflows and eliminate rework; deploy value stream mapping to visualise waste.
• Analyse recurring errors and quality issues using SPC tools; conduct RCA using structured techniques (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
• Embed corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve First Time Right (FTR) ratios; benchmark against industry peers.
• Establish and monitor measurable quality standards and SLAs; develop internal quality scoring systems.
• Steer DMAIC/DMADV projects; maintain a live project portfolio with RAG status; monitor KPIs and report to senior leadership.
• Facilitate change management for new processes and tools; ensure smooth rollout and stakeholder alignment.
• Identify skill gaps and develop capability-building programmes including Lean Six Sigma awareness and certification paths.
