Job summary

Moniepoint is seeking a Head of Engineering, Field Verification to lead a lean, cross-functional squad in Pakistan. You will own the technical strategy for verification platforms that power onboarding, loans, compliance and fraud, and drive deliberate product development.

You will scale the team, deliver mobile and API surfaces, ensure data is auditable for compliance, and plan multi-country expansion while partnering with product and business units.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on backend depth.
• At least 5 years of engineering leadership, including managing Engineering Managers.
• Strong backend with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with location and geospatial data is a plus; map integrations preferred.
• Experience with identity, KYC or verification platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for the Field Verification platform end to end.
• Moves the platform from keep-the-lights-on to deliberate, prioritised development.
• Leads and grows the cross-functional team and expands the organisation as scope grows.
• Builds an operational efficiency layer: trip/route optimisation, task allocation and capacity management.
• Owns the platform’s client-facing surface: APIs and webhooks used by other units; supports back-office integrations.
• Delivers a native mobile experience for field officers.
• Ensures verification data is structured, auditable and compliant-ready.
• Plans multi-country expansion as Moniepoint enters new markets.
