Job summary

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a proven Head of Engineering, Field Verification to own and drive the end-to-end platform responsible for field verification across markets.

You will shape the technical direction, balance rapid delivery with quality, and mentor a lean, cross-functional squad including engineers and QA to scale operations. You will partner with Product and business units for onboarding, loans, compliance and fraud, while expanding capabilities such as route optimization, identity

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on production work.
• At least 5 years in engineering leadership including managing Engineering Managers.
• Strong backend depth with credibility across backend, web and mobile.
• Experience collaborating with product and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for Field Verification end to end.
• Move the platform from keep-the-lights-on to deliberate development.
• Lead and grow the cross-functional team and scale the organization.
• Build operational efficiency: trip/route optimization, task allocation, capacity management.
• Own APIs and webhooks used by other units and the back office.
• Deliver a native mobile experience for field officers.
• Ensure verification data is structured and auditable for compliance.
• Plan for multi-country expansion and market entry readiness.
• Define architecture standards, processes and quality metrics, hire and develop engineers.
