Job summary

Syasi TV seeks a General Manager Technical to lead planning, design and oversight of transmission lines and grid stations in Pakistan.

The role requires steering operation, supervising connection agreements, and identifying PPP opportunities with government bodies while liaising with authorities to ensure efficient transmission to the National Grid or isolated mode.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from HEC-recognized university.
• Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred; with at least ten years of experience at management level in power sector.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design transmission lines and grid stations; oversee operation.
• Supervise connection agreements with users of transmission system.
• Identify potential projects for development by the provincial government or PPP mode.
• Select and monitor consultants, contractors and/or developers/private partners.
• Represent the company at various fora.
• Liaise with authorities on laying transmission lines from proposed power generating units to the National Grid or in isolated mode.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of transmission lines and grid system.
